(07.02.2016 – Lespezi)

On that particular Sunday we woke up again at 5 a.m. By 6 we were picking up Julien and Carmen and with a trunk loaded with gear we headed towards Capra, hoping that we would find suitable ice to climb. Well… we didn’t. But since we were surrounded by mountains we decided on the spot to do a bit of trekking.

(I used Adi’s old camera and a zoom lens and since everything was so new to me, these pictures are not my favourite ones. And many are out of focus or not sharp enough for me :D)

The weather was spectacular! Sunny from the moment we got out of the car till we got back to it. At one point it was so hot that I regretted having woolen underpants!

It was by far one of my favourite outings. The scenery was wonderful, the weather was perfect and the four of us wanted the same thing: to walk a little, to chat a little, and to have tons of fun!

We walked towards the peak Lespezi but we didn’t make it. Still, it was fine. We took a well-deserved break and enjoyed our day out.

When we started goofing around the day got even better. It’s so so good to be able to do all the crazy things that pass through your mind (although I didn’t shout from the top of my lungs cause I didn’t want to cause any avalanches!). And it’s quite impossible to act normal when you’re around Julien. He brings out the clown in everyone :)

And the fun didn’t end there. When we went down we took some shortcuts. Meaning we slid on our butts in the snow! It was fast, it was crazy, it was so much fun! We felt like we were kids again, actual kids having fun in the snow.

I want to do this every year! Just go to the mountains with no particular objective in mind and have tons of fun and do tons of silly things. It’s the best thing ever!
