When your climbing partner becomes your boyfriend everything changes for the best. You don’t have to worry about spending too much time at the climbing gym cause he’s there with you. You don’t have to worry that you’re boring the other person with your endless climbing talk cause you two can talk about climbing for hours days on end. You don’t have to worry about your ungirlie muscles cause he loves them.

These last months have been the best. I am still amazed how good and right it feels to do all these things with him, how cool it is to plan climbing and trekking trips, how I want the road never to end so we can keep driving in his car.

It’s so cool to have such a daring boyfriend. He’s always climbing first and putting in the quickdraws for me. And when it’s my time to try the route he gives me beta and encourages me and doesn’t mind my bitching and he’s one of the best belayers I’ve had.

At Tamina we climbed alone and I felt perfectly save with him. We didn’t climb much cause on our first day the rain started while I was topping our second route and all our things got wet. But the next day we went to Sf. Ana and climbed some easy routes and we still had a wonderful weekend. It’s such a great feeling not to depend on anyone, to know that if we want to go rock climbing we have the technique, the equipment and the guts to do it by yourselves.

We have big plans for next year: lots of trekking trips and we also want to go climbing abroad. It’s the first time I’m not afraid of making plans, heck, it actually feels normal and how-it’s-supposed-to-be! I am so lucky to have found such an extraordinary guy.
