The moment I set foot in this country I felt at home. On the way to Andreea‘s home from the airport, an old man looked at the reindeer antlers I was wearing (inside joke), looked at us, smiled and said „drei hübschen Mädchen!” – that was the moment when I was sure that my stay here will exceed all my expectations :)

These last four days have been a whirlpool of awesomeness: I got to see two of my dearest people in the world, we had a picnic, we ate the BEST cake ever!!! (baked by Martha, ofc!), we went to a party, drank obscene quantities of tea, enjoyed (a bit too much) real German Weizen Bier, talked and talked and talked and we just came back from a Romanian theater play which took place in Wiesbaden, 300 km away

.

I haven’t seen Reutlingen properly so I can’t say how much I like it, but Tübingen left me breathless. I’ve been to Germany before, I’ve visited other beautiful cities, but once I walked around Tübingen I felt deeply in love with it. I am such a sucker for old houses and the ones I saw were absolutely gorgeous! Imagine a city that dates back to the Middle Ages and which is now filled with students and where everyone rides bikes, the people are relaxed and smiling and wherever you turn your head you find pretty buildings and shops to look at.

Food has been another important part of this trip. I feel like I haven’t stopped eating since I arrived! We didn’t go out to eat because the things you find in the supermarket are delicious and because my friends are so good cooks. But really, do they have to stuff me all the time? Well, the truth is that I’m a huge fan of cheese with pepper, cheese spread with herbs, falafel, butter, jam, Weizen, so basically I’m on the right path to turning into a pig…

It’s really so easy to be happy in this country!
