I am a city girl

It was OK when I was little to go to my grandma’s and stay there for weeks. I didn’t mind the lack of running water, the toilet in the back of the yard or other inconveniences. Now that I’ve grown I hate sleeping there. I like going there and spending time with my aunt and uncle and playing with my niece and nephew but I hate sleeping there.
Yesterday I went there with Mum to feed the chickens and take care of the house (my relatives were on holiday). What can I say? I got flee bitten, the dogs and cats followed me everywhere I went because I wore my aunt’s clothes, I had to socialize with all the neighbours who saw we were there, damn, it was tiring! I am a city girl and I’m not ashamed of admitting it.
At least I was there only with Mum and we had some quality time together. I’ve missed spending time with her. And this was one of the main reasons I came home now and not at the end of the month: to spend as much time with her as I can. She’ll start work for a different bank on the 1st of July and it would have been pointless to come here when she is too busy to hang out with me.
We’re going back this weekend to visit our family and hear stories from Turkey and, of course, to kiss and hug and annoy my little niece 
the cat and the dog are friends?
I thought I was a city girl, me too (and don’t laugh at the “girl” part, please….) but now I discovedere another side of me, the one that likes the peace, lonelyness and quiet charm of the countryside…..
I guess we are all city girls when it comes to indoor toilets

They sleep together, play together, they’re BFF 
@Gracie: Maybe I’ll be like that in a couple of years, but now I’d rather live in the city
