Weekend with friends

First of all, my Astro lamp is up and running. In the beginning I was a bit scared when I saw I had to assemble it by myself but I’m proud to say that I did a great job hence the “up and running” part. The tricky thing was the lampshade but with a little help from my bf 
we managed to put all the pieces together. Now our nights are more starry – it’s a real pleasure to look at the walls 
And apart from staying indoors I did a bit of socializing this weekend and had a great time with my friends. oompa‘s days were ‘lemonade Friday’ and ‘film Sunday’. Too bad that the Romanian film directors are obsessed with life in communism but, hey, as long as the films make me laugh I’m OK with that 
Saturday was a very special day: Octavian had a picnic with his blog-friends. We weren’t that many but it was so much fun! Not to mention that Octavian had cooked the most delicious food in the world! (I must have that hummus recipe, please!). We even joked (or not) about opening our own vegetarian restaurant: I would cook the soups and bake the bread, he would bake delicious cakes and cookies and we would both cook the main course. Every day a different menu, not pricey portions, natural ingredients and lots of good food
I’m always a bit skeptical when it comes to meeting new people but it seems that Octavian knows only the nicest of people off all! I wasn’t intimidated, nor shy and we both had a great time. I’d love to go to more of his picnics cause he’s the best picnic manager out there!

I’m really impressed you liked it. It’s not like I have extensive experience with picnics, it’s probably my 10th, and it’s the first time I cooked for more than 5 persons. So there, I was really nervous just before I got there, because I thought the food was not enough or not good enough, or that people whom I consider the nicest people on earth might not get along well together. But for a fact, the 12 persons who were there made it a great day for me and interacted beautifully to say the least. And I was overwhelmed by everyone’s kindness and everyone’s contribution to the party!
It’s been less than a year that we know each other, but it wouldn’t have been for this internet thing so yeah, I guess I was right, I am really honored and grateful to my blog for the people and opportunities it brought in my life.

oh, veggie restaurant, I’d be there every day, so please do so, open a new place where we could eat really healthy food. Now, I just looove the lamp! Looks like it’s holding the whole universe inside. As for the picnic, seems you had a lot of fun, it’s always nice meeting new people. Especially when they’re nice.

@Verde Ursuz: yeah, the lampshade actually has the “map of the sky” on it, but I find it rather complicated to set it “right” so I just put it on the nightstand and that’s it.
wow… you say i would be “the ultimate picnic master from Germany”…wow… i’ll try to do something worthy of this titel in August. and if you include me into your veggy-restaurant that would be a very good reason to move back to Bucuresti
