Monday rant

  • I hate the fact that I always have to switch between the English and the Romanian keyboard. I get confused, I have no idea what language is currently on, I want to write something and I get a total bullshit, it’s driving me nuts!
  • It’s difficult to try and live your life by doing only what you want. Sometimes you can’t do what you want and then your only option is to do nothing. But at one point doing nothing feels even worse than doing something you don’t like/don’t want to do.
  • Sometimes I feel like I’m not living at all: the days come and go so fast I don’t have time to enjoy them.
  • My only “work” at the moment is a translation I have to do for my master’s program. The problem is that it’s kinda third-hand translation: the original text was written in Polish, then poorly translated into English and now I have to translate into Romanian.
  • Sometimes I fear I’ll die a very stupid death: a flu or a minor infection gone wild, slipping in the bathtub and cracking my head etc.
  • if my aunt agrees, we’re going to visit her in Athens this July. I know, it will be fucking hot!
  • I can’t believe I’m considering leaving uRMa here with him this summer!
  • Speaking of which, tomorrow’s her birthday: she turns 3. And the day after tomorrow is his birthday. Thanks for ruining your b-day present, jerk! Now you’ll get nothing!
  • Juliet, Naked hasn’t been great up until now. Maybe it’s just me. I’ll read some more and see.
  • I miss having obsession. I feel empty without them: no song to haunt me, I’m not hooked up on any TV series, no nothing. Bleah.

    să vezi cît de mişto e să ai şi germana pe tastatură, nu doar engleza şi româna! :))
    P. s-a muncit cu un vocabular român-german (de fapt, invers) în excel şi mai avea din cînd de pus cîte un ßüöä şi apoi minunatele noastre ăîşţ, m-am distrat văzînd cît e de confuzat.

    tot n-am reţinut cînd încoa, sper că nu se schimbă nimic cu Atena! :)

    mă gîndeam mergînd cu bicicleta azi şi lălăind într-o veselie Bităls (ok, Beatles), fără să ascult în timpu’ ăla Bităls, că deocamdată, cît pot să-mi cînt eu singură, mă descurc în continuare fără mp3-player.
    pe de altă parte, a fost aiurea, că m-am apucat să dansez pe biclă şi mi-am dat seama că scălămbăielile mele (aruncat haotic din mîini) au şanse mari să-i inducă în oroare pe “ceilalţi participanţi la trafic”.

    sa vezi ce misto e sa ai laptop cu tast originala in italiana, apar accente&shit all over, nimeni nu pricepe.si io am uitat cum e sa scrii la o tast normala, ha! :))

    da, sapt trecuta am avut de tradus un manual de folosire al unei masini de impachetat pungi (cica in engleza, dar se vedea ca fusese tradus dintr’o limba slava, it suckeed)
    and i miss having an obsession too, am inceput sa rereciclez seriale.happy bday to urma!

    germana? tastatura mea e setata universal, pot baga si maghiara si germana de pe ea(am sacrificat ghilimelele) pe engleza, schimb pe romana cand scriu si mai am si japoneza, care are la randu ei 3 sub-languages(hira, kata si autikanji). THAT is fun:D . Plus suedeza ocazional.

    @vio: nu-ţi face griji, nu scapi de mine vara asta :) În Germania o să vin la sfârşitul lui iulie, începutul lui august.

    @tuvia: ah, deci nu mi se pare doar mie că e tradusă cu picioarele :D La ce serial te uiţi acum? Eu am descoperit Yes Minister, dar e doar moderately funny :)

    am un player, dar nu mă atrage în mod deosebit:)
    de obicei ce pun pe el (e micuţ) nu se potriveşte în mod deosebit stării pe care o am cînd ascult. :)

    two and a half men ai văzut? noi la asta ne uităm acum pe dvd. bun de tot (mă rog, normal, chestiune de gusturi!)

    si ce daca l-a gasit,unde-i problema? surpriza? nu-i nimic, data viitoare o sa fie atent si n-o sa mai caute cadoul :) ( eu rascolesc casa de doua ori pe an, de craciun si de ziua mea, it’s fun :D )

    @Gracie: of course they got presents :) But he didn’t receive the awesome thing I wanted to give him. He got the second present on my list :D

    @Yuki: Nu l-a găsit. A ghicit despre ce era vorba :( Şi tot am vrut să-i cumpăr chestia aia, dar cică nuuuuu, că nu ar fi cadou. Nu pe naiba! Normal că el nu o să şi-o ia veci, aşa că rămâne fără ea :D
