Breakfast
19 Mar
Last weekend, while being in Baia Mare, I found out why I had never been a breakfast person: Mum refused to enter the kitchen in the morning and start ‘slaving like a real housewife’ (not her exact words, but that’s the main idea) so she made sandwiches for me before she went to bed every night and sent me off to school on an empty stomach every morning. I can’t say I didn’t like that: no breakfast meant more time to spend in bed in the mornings and trust me, for a non-morning person, 10-15 minutes of idleness are more important than any breakfast!
But since I’ve started living with Martha and having classes only in the afternoon things changed. We started having a morning routine: drinking tea together and the most important thing – always eating together. She introduced me to the world of cereal mixes (I’ve been living in ignorance and thought that you can have only one type of cereals/meal) and to the world of starting your day with a full stomach.

Unfortunately, she has to wake up really early in the morning to go to work so now I’m having my breakfast with him. It’s so nice to lounge in bed in the morning and then prepare nice food without having to rush. He always puts the kettle on and chooses the tea we’re drinking and I’m either making porridge, scrambled eggs or mixing cereals. I love the feeling I’m having enjoying my cuppa and eating healthy food. I’ll be awfully disappointed if I have a job that won’t allow me to have these lazy mornings ![]()

Well…you haven`t had these mornings before either, and you were not working
Hey, look, it’s Martha
mum did the same, actually with the morning routine, hmm.
tuvia: pancakes you say, m? how do you do that, i mean, what time do you start cooking?
@gabi: well, that’s exactly the point I was trying to make
@Auras: yeah, too bad Martha left this morning
@tuvia: oh my, I’m with Yuki on this one: when do you have time for morning pancakes?!
I can skip breakfast sometimes but I won’t skip tea.
@ggl: tea is the most important part of the breakfast
