Pinocchi0 tagged me and I can’t refuse a tag from a new acquaintance :D

People:

  • Mum: we have our ups and downs, but we get over the downs :) Yes, she tries to control me and make me lead a life that I don’t want, and yes, I do things to spite her or I don’t do things just because I know she wants me to do them, but I kind of got used to this twisted relationship :D
  • My Romanian teacher from then 5th-10th grade: she is one tough woman! She yelled and she gave us 5-minute tests and I even got a 0 at one of those grammar tests, but when it came to literature she was brilliant! It didn’t matter much what the ‘critics’ said, but what you thought about the texts. You own opinions counted more than anything for her. A book didn’t have only one interpretation, but as many as possible. I’ll be forever grateful for letting us think by ourselves and making us use our imagination. Open-minded is a concept I got from her.
  • My English teacher from 9th-10th grade: oh, the grammar test! Oh, the loads of homework! Oh, what a great teacher she was! Nobody explained better than she did and she was the most impartial teacher I’ve ever had. You could be her favourite pupil, but you still got a 4 if that was the mark you deserved.

Places: well, they aren’t many. Venice, for showing a 14-year-old kid what ‘a beautiful city’ really means, Bucharest, for making me realise what are my important things – career and money are definitely not among them. Vienna, for the friends I have there, for the architecture, for recycling, for Klimt and Hundertwasser.

Moments: the first time I dyed my hair orange, the first hours I spend in my apartment after I’ve been away for a couple of days, the happiness of meeting friends that are away, photowalking with my friends that are here, the day I discovered Sandra‘s blog, the first time I worked for a publishing house, the teas I had with Meli, the Kumm concerts, the picnics I have with my family and my Mum’s work colleagues, the mornings when Mum cuddles me, everytime I read with someone, the nights when uRMa is in a loving mood and she sleeps on my chest, OK, OK enough for one post :)

Hmmm… you know, a friend told me that by the way I write about uRMa here, it feels like I don’t like her much. So, I have to admit, she is one loving cat, but sometimes she is more loving than other times :)

Just the moments you reminisce, the way you talk about people. Feels nice seeing this side of you, after seeing quite enough of the previous one.

  6. ionuca says:

Come on, Eugen, you make me feel like I’m a very bad person :|
