So, I got a tag from Roxa and now I have to tell you about 10 obsessive songs and their story. Oh boy, this is going to be long and painful ![]()
So, first things first, let’s start with my biggest obsession till now: The Cure – Just like heaven. I listened to this song for days after he left. And even now, after so much time, I still cry when I hear it.
“Why are you so far away?” she said
“Why won’t you ever know that I’m in love with you
That I’m in love with you”
Urma – Perfect spot: I think this was my real first obsession. I remember clearly the day I discovered the meaning of “and I feel more than words can say” and how those lyrics perfectly described the relationship I had then.
But then it came Kumm – Different parties: this was my break-up song. After the “more than words can say” period, this was the only thing I could listen to. So sad and so true. Now we’re going to different parties.
Radiohead – There there: this is my favourite Radiohead song. I always get chills down my spine when I hear it. And those lyrics “just cause you feel it, doesn’t mean it’s there” and “why so green and lonely“… oh well, I totally feel them.
Now here’s another boy-related song: Lili Margot – Pretty killer. The dude was (is?) my only real Bucharest crush and I’m not actually over him, but I’m working on that
Anyways, when I first heard this song, his image was the first thing to pop up in my mind and that made it his song.
Pink Martini – Tea for two and Madeleine Peyroux – Dance me to the end of love are not actually related to some memories, but they are perfect to listen to on a cold autumn day, while drinking tea and enjoying a good book. They make my gloomy days a bit brighter.
Madrugada – Hands up I love you: I so like its story! I first heard it sitting at home and enjoying a good book, while everyone else was out somewhere, celebrating the New Year’s Day. Anyways, I was listening to Radio Paradise and all of a sudden, I heard this really sexy, manly voice singing something about “do I compel you like you compel me?” It was definitely love at first hearing.
Rusted Root – Send me on my way: finally, a happy song
I always listen to it before going home or on a trip, cause it’s so tripish! I get even more excited and sing and dance around my room while packing ![]()
The Cure – Mint car: and this one has got to be my favourite happy The Cure song! God, those lyrics are amazing: so jolly, so full of life, so bloody happy! I don’t listen that often to it, but when I do, I’m so happy I could scream!
The tag goes to the first person who says he/she wants it ![]()

I haven`t found out anything new. :/
