Electric orange

It can’t get oranger than this. It really can’t.

The best, the worst and the in between

Did I say I like making lists? Yeah, I think I have. So, what better moment for another list than the ending of one crappy year and the beginning of another *crappy one*?

Ah, let’s start with L-O-V-E, the subject I’d l-o-v-e to avoid, but simply can’t.

  • I fell out of love with a guy I saw for 4 days and will never see again. And I even stopped writing back to him. I don’t feel like I have anything to say anymore. I’m sorry!
  • I fell in love with a guy that was so different from that “perfect dude” image which I had in my head, that I almost didn’t believe it was happening. Now I’m almost over him, just give me a few more months, OK?
  • I had a 3-month long-distance relationship and it was really fun while it lasted. Now we’re friends, which is something new to me, but I like it.

Musically speaking, I saw some pretty cool concerts.

  • Nouvelle Vague x 2, UNKLE, Manu Chao, Roisin Murphy, Stereophonics
  • Massive Attack x 2 + Martina Topley-Bird
  • Teitur
  • Thievery Corporation *ftw!!!*
  • Koop *thanks to Sisif :) *
  • about 9 Kumm gigs
  • and the most awesome concert this year: Sigur Rós
  • and let’s not forget about Peninsula

And this year’s musical revelations are: Madrugada, Madeleine Peyroux, Teitur and Bon Iver. I also fell in love with bossa nova.

Now come my little trips:

I changed my working place, didn’t go to university as much as I should have, got a new flatmate which I really, really like – Meli is absolutely great!, and got along pretty well with my parents. And I got my camera that I love and it’s my precious, MY precious! And then I got an Action Sampler and an uncle gave me a Zenit, but I don’t know if I’ll make it mine yet.

In March I cut my messy hair really short and dyed it orange :D And I really like it this way.

One of the dearest memories I have is from Sighisoara, where I got out from a train, stayed for 6h and the got on another train for Baia Mare.

I got drunk only once *of what I can remember*, at Peninsula, and kind of hit on Roxa, but she totally ignored me :))

Bought a lot of books, but I think I read less than last year. Oh well, it happens.

uRMa is a beast, like always, but I don’t know what I’d do without her :)

I had my share of depressions and breakdowns but now I simply don’t care.  Come what may, I couldn’t even care less :)

Became really antisocial *and I can’t say I dislike it*, but enjoyed going out with friends, old and new, and I don’t say ‘no’ to a tea and a talk as long as it doesn’t happen too often :)

As for 2009, whatever, it’s just going to be another crappy year.

Saturday’s bits and pieces

27 Dec

Today was by far the most awesome day here. I went for a little photowalking with M. and Steve. Nothing special, just a little stroll through the old city centre. And then we went for a talk and a pie. I’m glad that the guys got along well and that it was such pleasant afternoon.

I kind of have a thing for old, sad buildings

But I don’t say no to the renovated ones

Sad and lonely

Sofi

25 Dec

PJ: Who’s she?
ionuca: Sofi, my niece.
PJ: :)
PJ: You like her?
ionuca: Yup.
PJ: How can there be kids you like and kids you don’t like?
ionuca: Simple.
ionuca: With some I click, with most i don’t.

Lomo, baby!

24 Dec

Woo-hoo, my Action Sampler is here!!! It’s such a fun-plastic thingie! Ofc, the first roll *and maybe the second one and the third and…* will be a complete disaster, but I’m going to tame it one day, no matter how many rolls I’ll have to sacrifice :D

Lots and lots of thanks to The Lomo Dude. I owe you :)
